Serena Williams vs Simona Halep preview

Serena Williams and Simona Halep will clash against each other on Tuesday in a highly anticipated quarterfinal match at the 2021 Australian Open. Serena Williams has been on a quest for a record-equaling 24th Grand Slam title since a while now. The 39-year-old is as motivated as ever to win another Major – which would be her first since the 2017 Australian Open – despite falling at the final hurdle four times in the last three years. Williams has played some inspiring tennis in the tournament so far, and is now within three wins of an eighth title at Melbourne Park. The American passed a tough test in the fourth round, overcoming Belarus’ big-hitting Aryna Sabalenka in three sets. Williams’ early lead in the final set of that match was negated when Sabalenka broke back to level the score. But experience eventually prevailed, as the 23-time Slam champion broke the Belarusian in a sudden death situation to win the set 6-4. Image result for S. Williams 10 vs S. Halep 2S. Williams 10 vs S. Halep 2 H2 H World No. 2 Simona Halep had a similar experience in her Round of 16 match. The Romanian was presented with a rematch against her French Open conqueror Iga Swiatek, and the tough task of ending the Pole’s run of nine consecutive Slam match wins. At first Halep seemed set to suffer the same fate as she did at Roland Garros, as Swiatek had an answer for everything she threw at her. But the two-time Slam champion grabbed control of the proceedings at the start of the second set and retained it for the rest of the match to win 3-6 6-1 6-4.

Prediction: Serena Williams to win in three sets.

Grigor Dimitrov v Aslan Karatsev Live Streaming, Prediction & Preview for Australian Open 2021: Dimitrov To Prevail In Surprise Quarter Final

Image result for Grigor Dimitrov vs Aslan Karatsev Former Australian Open semi-finalist from Bulgaria Grigor Dimitrov faces the surprise package of the tournament Aslan Karatsev in the quarter-finals of the 2021 Australian Open on Tuesday, February 16, with the match likely to begin at around 11 am local time (12 noon BST or 7 pm Eastern Time previous day). Grigor Dimitrov v Aslan Karatsev Head to Head

Prediction and head to head Grigor Dimitrov vs. Aslan Karatsev This is the first match between these two players on the tour.

Dimitrov Upsets Thiem In A Lopsided Match

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov was an Australian Open semi-finalist in 2017, the year he was ranked number three in the world by year-end. However, his form has taken a dip since and he was as low ranked as number 80, before a comeback run that now has him back in the top 20 in the ATP rankings.

Grigor Dimitrov vs Aslan Karatsev Date: 16 February 2021 Time: 3.00/10.00(GMT+6) Tournament: Australian Open 2021 Round: Quarterfinals Venue: Melbourne, Australia Court :Rod Laver Arena Category: Grand Slam Surface: Outdoor hardcourt Prize money: AUD $80,000,000

Live telecast: USA – ESPN / Tennis Channel | UK – Eurosport 1 | India – Sony Six Coming into the match against Austrian Dominic Thiem, Dimitrov had registered straight set wins over Marin Cilic and Alex Bolt in the first two rounds and was up 6-0,1-0 against Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta before the latter retired. Having not spent much time out, he was expected to be the fresher one in the encounter against Dominic Thiem, who was coming off a five-setter against Nick Kyrgios. As it turned out, Dimitrov did not need to expend too much energy in the fourth round match either. Thiem clearly had something bothering him, an injury or an illness as he looked low on energy and in both of the first two sets, broke early to be up 3-1 and capitulated thereafter to lose 4-6 in each set. The Austrian looked completely out of sorts in the decider with minimal movement and intensity and won only a few points all set to lose 0-6 and in turn be probably the biggest upset of the draw thus far. With an unheralded opponent in the final eight, Dimitrov will fancy his chances for a semi-final run here again.

Karatsev Keeps Rolling In Maiden Grand Slam

Russian qualifier Aslan Karatsev is in his first ever Grand Slam and has had a magical run thus far. After a second round win against Egor Gerasimov where he only dropped one game all match, he was in prime form and defeated Argentine Diego Schwartzman 6-3,6-3,6-3. In his fourth round encounter against Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, he looked all but out winning only four games in the first two sets. But, a great comeback followed with the Russian winning the next two sets not dropping serve after the second set and as the mental demons of the Canadian rekindled in the fifth, Karatsev broke early and despite some difficult games, ensured he was able to successfully serve out the match. Karatsev in the first man in 25 years to make the last eight of a major on his first attempt.

Dimitrov v Karatsev Prediction and Tip

A very unexpected quarter-final clash, one that no one would have foreseen. Karatsev is on a dream run in his first ever major, but expect the Bulgraian’s experience to outlast the qualifier. A closer match than the matchup suggests, with Dimitrov to prevail in four sets. Tip: Dimitrov to win in four sets: 3/1
