Headlock Muscle Growth You can't expect to see results right away, remember that. You have to stay focused and dedicated to your plan and a big part of that is your mentality. You can't expect to have abs in 2 weeks when this is your first time trying to get into shape, it takes months to get that lean body you are searching for. Don't overdo your workouts or rush into an exercise routine that is too intense for you. This is a recipe for disaster and you'll end up injuring yourself. Start out slow and work your way up to more intense workouts. As you get stronger, increase how much you do to see the best results. Keep track of what you have been doing, and what is working for you. Evaluate what exercises you enjoy and what left you bored. A fitness plan should never be stagnant. Keep switching things up and changing things that aren't working for you. A fitness plan that is set in stone is a fitness plan you'll stop using. All the major clubs offer fitness classes for those who wish to exercise in a group setting. Definitely choose this option if seeing others working out for a goal inspires you. You can find stretching, aerobics, kickboxing and swimming, among the classes offered. You can also incorporate the knowledge that you obtain during classes, into your own home exercise program. If you are starting a new physical fitness program, the route to success is not to go about it too aggressively. Generally, you are trying to make this a habit, not a regime. Approach a workout or a walk around the block as if it were second nature, like doing the laundry. Just relax and do not be hard on yourself, especially in the beginning. If you have a desk job and are concerned about staying fit, consider storing a mini-stepper under your desk and use it for a few minutes of every hour. Even five minutes of fitness per hour will make a big difference. This will also help prevent the soreness and stiffness associated with prolonged periods of inactivity. To reach your fitness goal of building those killer, six-pack abs, only work your abdominal muscles two to three times per week. Your abdominal muscles are like every other muscle in your body; they need recuperation periods to ensure healthy and effective muscle building. Working your abs every day actually makes it harder to obtain six-pack abs - so crunch in moderation! Get some sets of quality workout clothes. The right clothing makes a difference (and quality brands tend to last much longer).
